The Mead School

Learning for Life

Founded in 1969, The Mead School is committed to setting the standard in progressive education for children, from our Infant Program to Eighth Grade. Our approach uses cognitive and developmental research that shows that experiential learning provides the most rewarding education for children. Our curriculum encourages depth of understanding and higher-order thinking as we engage students’ senses and their passion for discovery.

“By encouraging critical thinking, collaboration, self-knowledge and self-advocacy skills, we guide students toward accountability and respect for themselves and their community.”

“Our daughter has been at The Mead School since 1st Grade, but we wish we had sent her even sooner! We feel so fortunate to have found a place that focuses just as much on her social and emotional needs as her academics.”

“The single most important aspect of Mead that I carry with me every day is a love of learning.”
